Music

Our Foundation, Grade 1 and Grade 2 students are surrounded by music every day. Our Junior staff are trained in the DUET program and provide students with a weekly formal music lesson. Throughout the rest of our day, music is interwoven into all areas of the curriculum from singing songs that enhance our understanding of the letters and sounds in literacy, counting and dancing songs that strengthen our confidence in maths, and learning routines such as starting our day and cleaning up.  A tune is never far away in the Village!

Senior students have the opportunity to learn an instrument and play in our school band. The range of instruments includes flutes, saxophones, clarinets, percussion and more!  In 2024, we are pleased to announce RJ L as Band Captain.

Students from Grades 2 to 6 are given the opportunity to join the school choir. The choir meets at lunch time every Thursday to practise their growing repertoire. The choir proudly leads the school in the National Anthem at assemblies and performs at concerts with the band.
