We have had a lovely couple of weeks as the autumnal weather has provided us with crisp mornings and beautiful, sunny days.
We took advantage of this weather (or was it just lucky timing?) last week when we ran the Cross Country. Our Grade 3 to 6 students ran around the picturesque Lake Bartlett with many enthusiastic parents looking on at the start/finish line. Congratulations to all our runners and winners. We even had a few TPS records broken, and many students will be representing us at the next stage in Shepparton later in the week. See the sports report for more detail later in the newsletter.
ANZAC Day was supported by so many of our students and their families. Thank you to everyone who attended and paid their respects.
Mother’s Day is happening on Sunday. To celebrate and to thank our Mother’s and special women in our lives, we are inviting them to a breakfast on Friday morning this week. The croissants, gift, coffee van and photo booth will all help to make this a special day for all. Please send your RSVP through to the classroom teacher via Seesaw to help with catering.
We have already had several families tour the school in preparation for their 2025 Foundation enrolment. We invite everyone to join us for a Foundation Information Night on Thursday 16 May at 6pm to find out what we offer. Our student leaders will be taking tours of the school the following day from 9:30am to 1:30pm. Please see the attached flyer and ring the office on 58241684 for more information.
Did you visit the Monster Garage Sale and Market in Tatura on Saturday? I saw many of our families there enjoying themselves. It has prompted me to remind you of our 150th Anniversary Celebrations planned for Saturday 26 October 2024. We have invited all the market stall holders and many more to take part. Students will run stalls too and there will be lots of the school’s history on display. Pop the date in your diary and invite past students and staff along too. More information to come.
Our Student Dress Code Policy is currently being reviewed. Families are invited to provide feedback to me by Monday 13 May. The draft policy is available on Compass.
Next week our senior students are visiting the Immigration Museum in Melbourne to immerse themselves in their current studies of migration to Australia. We look forward to their report in the next newsletter.
Have a great week,
Susanne Gill
